The project aimed to improve access to and awareness of disability-related information (published and unpublished) produced by or for people in developing countries. This is in order to promote research, innovation, learning, training and improved practice. The goal was to improve the quality of life and well-being of disabled people in developing countries. The information shared included findings of research programmes, practical manuals and toolkits, training materials, and descriptions and evaluations of grass-roots projects. Highlighting access to Braille, audio-materials and web resources that are accessible to disabled people is a core aim of the project, although printed directories will also be produced. The project also facilitated networking and will provide a forum for sharing information generated by the Disability Knowledge and Research Programme. Information resources and key contact details will be reviewed and referenced on databases. These will be available as full-text through the Source website at www.asksource.info and in hard copy at Source, an international information support centre in London (Source, 2nd Floor Institute of Child Health, 30 Guildford Street, London WC1N 1EH). The project recognises that disabled people are not only the beneficiaries: they play a key role in the development of Source's resources by sharing their expertise and experiences with others. The project outputs: An accessible website with access to disabilty resources including; key lists of essential resources in priority topic areas relating to disability and development, and and signposts to other information centres and resources. Visit the website at: www.asksource.info The website includes a new section on Disabilty, inclusion and development section which contains;
