Three papers were produced as part of the DFID UK research.
The first two papers were written by the Disability Policy Officer (Philippa Thomas), appointed for the duration of the Disability KaR programme. The Officer's position was pivotal to the entire programme. The post provided expert technical policy analysis and support to DFID on disability issues, while ensuring that other parts of the programme were responsive to DFID's needs. Philippa's two papers highlight the current activities being carried out by DFID and recommend ways forward for the department.
The third paper was written by Isobel Ortiz at the beginning of the programme to assess the connections between mainstreaming disability, the disabilty KaR programme and DFID's poverty reduction agenda.
