As part of the Policy Project four research projects were commissioned by the Policy Oficer. The first three of these were carried out by disabled researchers in the South and the fourth involved disabled people in every aspect of the work. The projects looked at different aspects of disability and policy and examined the strengths and weaknesses of policies, legislation, systems of participation, and NGO capacity building in a number of countries, which included South Africa, Mozambique, Uganda and Cambodia.
